You missed the main point which is what products you actually used. Showing a before and after is nice,but not seeing the product or how it's installed is not helpful.

You are very knowledgeable and well spoken. This was an easy to follow guide on how to make heavy doors not so heavy and fix some common issues with hurricane rated sliding doors. I have these very heavy doors from comoany PGT Windows and Doors that I purchased at THD. Well, they are great at their job of sealing real well the space but... heavier than a 75yr old mother deserves. I like the stainless steel rollers idea... I am honestly not sure if they are already installed but it's at least something I can look into. Anyway, you're great and thanks for the help!

Very helpful. New build and new sliding doors that interlock. No weatherstripping and I was confused! So now I am going to add the ones you mentioned. I am assuming that you are in Tampa based on the phone number since you dont have it written anywhere. I am 100 miles south and looking for a new 8 foot slider. I find that the sills are trip hazards!! Some even have a 3 or 4 inch high strip running across. What is the deal with this. My 45 year old aluminum door has a low sill that is not a trip hazard. Home depot doors, in vinyl, have sills that are at least an inch and a half high. The building code states that the sill cant be more then 3/4 high. What is going on? Any advice would be appreciated.

I have Andersen 200 series where interlocking strip between two doors where there is a leak in a spot. They don’t seem to connect at a certain point. Is this typical of these doors? One moves and other is stationary

SOLUTION: just take a screw driver and down by the bottom will be SET SCREW, adjust the wheels up or down. What causes window tilt? The building might be shifting, most likely. Need to replace the bottom wheel's? That's easy, you can buy and size, type of window wheel you want on the internet these days. The sliding door is heavy, but with 2 people it's a piece of cake. Don't get scammed into replacing your existing doors, sliders because of a simple fix like this. NOTICE, the lady talking didn't mention how easy it is to fix this tilting slider. That's because she is trying to sell you something.

Here’s an idea, since some of us have no idea what tracks and panels , etc are, why don’t u point them out with an arrow, a finger, a carrot, whatever! don’t just show me a picture. In addition, try a close up view so that we can actually see what you’re referring to!! So frustrating!

Absolute, total JUNK. Back in 1991 I did a major remodeling project on my (circa 1956) 1400 sq. ft ranch house, 20 miles north of Philadelphia. Selected Andersen casement windows and an Andersen Frenchwood patio door - after also considering Peachtree, Marvin and one or two others. Biggest mistake I have made in the 42 years that I've lived here. Every unit had/has major quality issues.... every casement insulated glass unit failed due to improper manufacturing, causing the dual panes of glass to "suck in" and touch in the center, eliminating the insulation value, obscuring clarity and causing condensation on the interior panes with water puddling on the sills. Every glass unit was eventually replaced under warranty or a technician drilled holes in the sides and plugged them to eliminate the vacuum. Of course, the argon gas filling was severely compromised in that process. The patio door lock mechanism failed because a little 5 cent spring broke and is not replaceable, requiring purchase of an entire new locking mechanism from Andersen at retail of 200.00 That was the last purchase of any Andersen product I will ever make.

Great video, I like how you fix a window instead of telling a customer they need a whole new door. Florida window regulations are criminal. It should be up to the owner and buyer to want a impact window not a law. How can the working class afford 20K for new windows.
